HI!
I have been very sad for a while but I am keeping my chin up today.

I am going to Olympia to take care of business and hang out with people I love.
Life is good today, that is all ;-)

Preface: James and I have made a commitment of sorts to try out 2-3 new recipes (without altering them) each week in an effort to find more yummy, from scratch foods that we like to eat. So here is one of the recipes that we made that I (was doubtful about but) liked and James was so-so (not his favorite)

Pork with Sauerkraut and Tomato )
So all in all I thought this would be gross. It is actually a little like American sweet and sour pork without the battering and deep frying. Tasty stuff

Today was a great day all in all. James and I slept in a little and Then got up and finished laundry. He took things down to the basement while I cooked us breakfast. He got his HD Tivos today which made him really happy. Then we left to do the Seattle run for work. While we were up there we decided to go to see Leeni at the Jewelbox Theater. I also liked Desmond and Kenyon (I think that was his name). We bought another copy of 8 Bit Heart that Leeni signed for us.

It was a great time and I'm glad we got to go :)

I slept in today until about 11:30, it was nice and I think I'm all caught up on any missed sleep. I took a shower and attacked the kitchen. I put away all the random things around, cleaned counter tops and stove and moved on to the patio. After I had cleaned and swept Clark showed me how to use the leaf blower so we embarked on a landscape-y adventure where we removed leaves, crazy branches and various needles from the garden beds. Then we washed cars and worked on tidying up the garage and basement! Those two aren't done yet but we are making progress. I am really glad to have gotten so much done in one day.

I heart James.

I never update my Livejournal anymore. Not for any particular reason. Even when something comes along that I would normally have posted about, the thought passes and my journal is left just as it is.
So I'm still here and I still read my friends page all the time, just lurking I guess. I'm still playing settlers all the time. I have started knitting for pleasure and I am planning to learn how to crochet. My job has led me to explore new video games and have fun with them. I've been working a lot in Lakewood lately but they tell me it's only temporary. I'm trying to figure out what I would go to school for if I had the opportunity but nothing comes into my brain. I DO know that I would like to be paid for something skilled someday so I can retire at some later day. I probably should just go to some kind of career workshop or something.
I have some more friends than I did the last time I posted. The kind you actively seek out their company. I've been missing that for a long time. My social life still isn't as active as I'd like it to be but that may just be the over-achiever in me.
Good times

Name: Amber

Age: 23

Favorite 4 colors: Fuchsia, Lavender, Black and Blues

Some of your hobbies: I guess it's hard to determine hobbies, I'm not sure if activities I like are the same thing as hobbies. I enjoy going to movies, swapping cosmetics and hair products, playing with cosmetics, playing board and video games (I love board games with a passion!) and I love cleaning/organizing

Do you collect anything?: Cosmetics! 80's memorabilia, funny buttons, generally I love humor and nostalgia

What Size do you wear? 16 on the bottom and XL on top

Favorite candy: I love chocolate, it can have things in it as long as those things aren't fruit. The only fruity chocolate thing I like are Terry's Chocolate oranges

chocoalte orange

I also like unique hard candies and lollipops (nothing in the center) Bars - 100 grand, reese's peanut butter cups, Mr. Goodbar

Favorite flavors: Strawberry, apple, real raspberry

other things you are into: music, I don't listen to the radio so my exposure is from friends and family, food, the cooking and eating of, kitchen gadgets, energy drinks, cute hair clips, body crystals, happy bunny, hello kitty, nintendo ds lite, cute socks, funny stationary, ridiculous things like giant pens and crazy hats

what would be in your "dream package": some candy, an outrageous eyeshadow, funny pins/buttons, amazing and simple recipes, mini travel games or board game referenced items (monopoly cup or something silly), random cosmetic samples or coupons. I'm not really sure what else. Looking over my survey, it may seem that I'm picky. In reality I just enjoy going out to the mailbox and finding something with my name on it. I swap a lot of things with other people through swap sites and it's pretty fun. So I guess what I'm saying is if it seems even close to one of the things I mentioned, I'm going to love it :D

so respond with your completed survey and we can swap packages!!

Are local and claim to specialize in hair extensions. I find myself daydreaming about having really long hair again. I really want to do this but I have done zero research on how to care for extensions and I certainly don't want to waste my money if I'm doing to ruin them. Truth is I rarely style my hair. I just want tit to sit there and look pretty. Do you think this is realistic with extensions? I mean, will it just lay there looking long and beautiful with just general washing and brushing or is it going to require more maintenance than that? I don't know, but I whought I'd share since I update my journal almost never these days.

Also I got a new laptop, brand new, all mine. I'm in love with it!

So yeah, that is all. Discuss.

Yay I have two days off in a row. I am kind of stuck at the old house since the movers are there but that means we can clean that place up and be all moved in over here! I am so excited about games nights and poker nights!!!
Anyway, I'm a whole year older and that is all.

So I originally started working for Party City part time but they have now offered me a full time job. I would work a required 32 hours a week (or more) and I would get a raise and benefits (I don't know which ones yet). So I took it. When we move, I won't be as close by but my commute will still be the shortest in the house. Anyway, now I don't have to go on the job search in early November. That seems good. That's pretty much it. We are moving and getting all that kind of stuff taken care of a little bit at a time.
